Last night, LearnLaunch’s very own Jean Hammond, or shall we say “Professor Hammond,” took the floor at WeWork to discuss why educational technology is the future of education.
The Master Slam, in partnership with General Assembly and WeWork, is a fun debate between six industry leaders. Each event features one compelling topic, and participants have only 90 seconds to win over both the audience and judges.
During the first round, each competitor presents his or her story. The goal is to make it to the next round. Great storytelling skills are much needed for this debate! The judges announce each competitor’s score after they speak. All of the judges have an intense scorecard and rules to follow. Competitors get docked two points for going over time.
The winner was Tess Ross-Callahan, a freshman at Tufts University. After the winner was announced, attendees continued to discuss the topic and mingle with others in the industry. They also enjoyed great wine from Drync, beer from Harpoon, and delicious donuts from Party of Two.
