1. Back-to-School Meet-up- Tonight at The Alley in Cambridge!
In partnership with Boston EdTech MeetUp, LearnLaunch is welcoming the educators, technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and more to a networking event and lively discussion around trends in the edtech space. Share your experience rolling out new devices and platforms or how edtech has impacted your students. Registration is free!
2. MassCUE LearnLaunch Innovation Space
The annual MassCUE conference draws over 2,000 educators and administrators each year and, for the fifth year in a row, LearnLaunch will be hosting an interactive demo space for edtech startups to showcase their ideas. Be sure to stop by to test products, talk with founders, and learn more about the latest innovations in K-12 education technology.
3. MAPLE: Supporting Personalized Learning in Massachusetts School Districts
Launched only eight months ago, the Massachusetts Personalized Learning Edtech Consortium (MAPLE) has grown to 32 member districts now serves roughly 1 in 6 students in the Commonwealth. This fall, MAPLE will release its first Landscape Analysis on Personalized Learning within The Commonwealth, a packed fall programming calendar for member districts that includes school visits, conferences, webinars and more, and will continue to release updates through the MAPLE monthly newsletter. 4. Coding in Schools – To Surf the Wave or Not
Computer programming is now being taught to even the youngest learner in schools, but how have teachers and administrators made this impressive shift to incorporating coding education across grade levels and subject areas? Join us at LearnLaunch to hear from a panel of educators from Burlington and Somerville Public Schools, as well as the interactive, visual programming language, Scratch, on how the “coding for all” mindset is impacting today’s students.
5. MassNET: Boston Teachers Talk about Blended and Personalized Learning
The Massachusetts School Support Network of Edtech Testbeds (MassNET) program based out of LearnLaunch Institute, supports teachers in Boston Public Schools in the piloting of edtech tools. MassNET enables schools to become smarter about how they deploy digital instructional tools in ways that reinforce and enrich student learning and move teacher’s instruction towards personalized learning. 6. Learning Innovation Showcase at the 2018 Across Boundaries Conference
Always a conference highlight, the 2018 Learning Innovation Showcase is back for our sixth Across Boundaries Conference. Applications are open to student-teacher teams from K-12 and higher ed who are finding innovative ways to personalize learning through technology.
