Two LearnLaunch Accelerator alums moved on in MIT competitions this past week. Care Academy was named a Regional Winner in the MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge and Education Modified was named a winner at the MIT Solve Teachers & Educators Finals.
Care Academy at IIC
The MIT IIC was launched by the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy three years ago to help speed the transition to a high-growth and high-opportunity digital economy. $1.6 million is awarded annually to recognize and promote people and organizations across the globe that are working towards this critical goal.
Care Academy, a LearnLaunch Accelerator graduate, was named one of 16 companies from around the globe competing for these funds. Care Academy provides online professional development to teach and upskill caregivers, providing opportunities for millions of workers to prepare for the future of healthcare.

Education Modified at Solve
Solve, an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, announced the 33 new Solver teams. The Solver class was selected by Solve’s Challenge Leadership Group judges as the most promising set of solutions tackling large-scale global Challenges. The new Solver class comes from 15 countries and was selected from a pool of 1,150 applicants from 110 countries. Out of the 33 new Solver teams, 61 percent are women-led; 64 percent of the selected solutions are for-profit, 24 percent are nonprofit, and 12 percent are hybrid organizations.

Education Modified, a LearnLaunch Accelerator graduate, was selected as one of 8 teams for the Solve Teachers & Educators challenge: “How can teachers and educators provide accessible, personalized, and creative learning experiences for all?”
Education Modified provides schools with a research-based instructional tool that supports the implementation of special education instruction for any child, with any need, in any classroom. The solution empowers teachers with the latest research-based instructional strategies to effectively implement students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP).
