Community

LearnLaunch has served as the foundation of the edtech ecosystem in the Greater Boston area for over a decade. Since 2012, we have brought together the edtech community with eight Across Boundaries conferences, hundreds of events, and a dedicated co-working space that served as a hub for hundreds of edtech teams. Through all these initiatives, we have been able to bring together thousands of professionals, educators, investors, and other stakeholders in the Boston edtech community.

Boston EdTech Innovation 2025 Kickoff Party

To kick off 2025, LearnLaunch and Duet brought together the Boston Edtech community for an evening of celebration, connection, and inspiration. Connecting the LearnLaunch ecosystem of the past and present, the Boston Edtech 2025 Kickoff Party gave us a chance to reflect on the achievements and collaborations of 2024 while looking ahead to the opportunities and innovations ahead of us in 2025.

LearnLaunch Campus

The LearnLaunch Campus provided a physical co-working space where like-minded edtech founders could work closely with their peers and tap into the edtech community daily. Home to over 40 startups during its 8-year tenure, the LearnLaunch Campus hosted each accelerator cohort during their residency in Boston. Through this close-knit network, edtech startups were able to more easily find partnerships, employees, and investment opportunities. While the co-working space closed during the pandemic, many of the connections made at the LearnLaunch Campus resulted in teams that are still working together on edtech ventures today.

Monthly EdTech Events

Typically hosted on the LearnLaunch Campus, we organized a number of monthly edtech events over the years, including industry meetups, summer showcases, pitch competitions, job fairs, and workshops covering topics ranging from personalized learning in K-12 education to data privacy guidelines for startups.

Across Boundaries Conference

From 2013 to 2020, LearnLaunch Across Boundaries was New England’s premier education innovation event. More than just an industry conference, Across Boundaries brought together stakeholders from across the education sector.

Over the years, invited speakers ranged from student representatives to local school committees to the Massachusetts Secretary of Education. Anywhere you looked, you would find a mix of early-stage startup founders, high school students, top executives, and university leaders – sometimes even on the same panel! The event regularly brought together the edtech community of New England and beyond, providing a cherished annual platform dedicated to educational innovation.

“I never miss the LearnLaunch conference. It is the best place to connect with a wide spectrum of smart people in edtech, from administrators to practitioners, educators to technologists, and entrepreneurs to seasoned advisors. I always leave energized by new connections and inspiring ideas.”

“There’s no conference that unites educators and education technologists in the same way that LearnLaunch does. It’s the place to be for anyone who really wants to effect change in schools, on campuses, or through workplace learning.”
